Motor stopped, sudden oil leak.

Default Motor stopped, sudden oil leak.

2000 FXDX 116 ci 4 inch bore, 4-5/8 stroke. 11/3 to 1 cr SnS625 cam, CV51, Bassani RR. About 20000 miles on the build.

Motor stopped all of a sudden and got an oil leak..

Where is the oil leaking from?

Did you get a gradual drop in oil pressure before the stoppage?
Did it stop as in locking up the rear wheel?
Any unusual noises before the event?
Any oil left in the tank/pan?
If the filter isn't broken/leaking, check the filter mount to see if it is cracked. That's where it looks like it's coming from.

Motor locked up. I was quick on the clutch.. Oil coming around red arrows.

Nope.
Got the clutch in quickly.
None except a quick rattle about 1/2 second before I got the clutch in.
Yes, It leaked out on the tow truck.
Filter is OK.

you have a broken casing I circled in red!!
Catastrophic engine failure?

Very observant..

The debate is whether it was the front rod or the rear. I'm betting the front. Will need engine cases, crank and cylinders, my bet..

REally......I must have missed that part........I dont see where it says it might be front or rear rod.........
