Not sure I recognize that piece? But I had a similar one. Snip <<<<< eight below enlightened me.
I had a roller bearing motor go few years back. Three cylinder inline 2 stroke. Of course it was turning WOT.. one of those rare slick days on the bay. Oil mix stopped in one of the carbs. Rollers on the crank looked like long ribbons of tin foil. Rod didn't break but side clearance wacked a part out of the case.
A new 4 cylinder made a world of difference in bottom end. Big is better. Don't care what the girls say. They are just being polite when they say that.?

Straight line might not be so bad. I sure would hate to be in a turn. It's like big time oversteer. Like in a car, you must turn into it carefully if there is someplace to go.
Like you said, shame on you if there's no place to go.
Be interesting to see what let go to let something hit the block.
