Default New TW 222 cams in 07 wideglide

Got my cams in, she fired right, has a killer bark but also a lot of top end noise.
S&S lifters with Easy FM pushrods set at 21 flats or 3.5 turns.
verified TDC Comp on both cylinders during pushrod install.
anyone used these lifters and pushrods, do I need to add more turns?

IIRC, the TPI on those pushrods is 32TPI which means you have about .109" preload on the lifter. Most have found preload between .125" and .140" works best. Check me on the TPI as I am recalling from memory but if TPI is 32, to another full turn and set preload at .140". Just be sure you had the piston at TDC on compression stroke when adjusting.

Appreciate that, I screwed
up, see below.

Well, I am a dumbass🤣🤣. When I installed the pushrod clip on cylinder #1 intake the bottom section that goes into the lifter box moved and the O ring was pinched causing the pushrod to make contact with the tube. Only noticed it when I saw a ton of smoke from the oil burning on the exhaust pipe🤪🤪🤪. Popped the clip, collapsed pushrod, replaced O ring, reassembled and HOLY ****! The bike is completely transformed and rips like it should, is super smooth and pulls pulls pulls!! I usually never take her past 5 grand but it just begs for the throttle to be twisted to the stop and bounced it off redline. The FuelMoto flash is just awesome, not one hiccup from idle to redline thanks FM!!!!

you will still need to auto tune it.. congrats on the upgrade..I think it's the best cam for a 96"er.. did you install a .030" head gasket? If not no biggie..

These are the cams I've been thinking of going with. I have a 2007 Softail Standard with a DK Customs air cleaner, V&H Radius pipes and a Powervision that came with a tune from Fuel Moto for my set up.

Nope, just cams, bearings, tensioners, lifters and pushrods.Didn’t want to get into the top end. I’m sure it will keep me busy for the couple years...hopefully. Auto tune this weekend.
