Compression test with slide held open(and throttle) yielded same results. 180 psi warm engine about 8 strokes to get there.

Battery was 12.75 engine off. 14.63 I think running. During crank it quickly dropped to 9.4 and slowly down to 8.2. I did not time it but I would say it was near 10 sec. Maybe not quite that long. Will pull nd have properly load tested.

Even after cranking for compression test. Then crank test. Still whips bike over and fires right up cold. I need to check it out better on my "hot start" issue. It does not seem like it even really tried to crank. You would think it would crank slow or at least roll up on compression and then stop. It is more like "stuck". Wonder if my starter gets hot and draggy.

Everything seems good so far. At least I am getting to know my new bike.

Your carb isn't leaking down and possibly causing a hydro lock situation maybe? I've heard of that happening but never seen it..
dropping below 9.6v could be the issue.. having the battery load tested it's a good idea..

no. I rode it to my dads to show him. Shut it off long enough to tell him what it was and hit the starter. Maybe 2 min at the most after shutting off and would not crank over. Seems like it barely "clicks" and it is not really a click it's more like a ..... faint grunt lol. Like rr. hit button again rr. Wait a few sec. Do it again. Few more times and VROOM there she goes lol. Like I said, I need to get some more specifics than rr and VROOM haha. And pay closer attention rather than just hitting button over and over til she kicks over.

At first I was thinking "no. No. I know what a solenoid sounds like and this is different" but then I was thinking of the solenoid of my beloved 70's and 80's ford pickups. Maybe bike sounds different lol. Only time will tell.

If your battery is drawing down that much, you should get it load tested. The cranking voltage seems very low, IMHO.

Cheers!

Of the battery load test? Or the "hot start" issue?

I am not the most tech-y person, but if I ride today I will try to get a video of the issue.

Well it was only 54 degrees but I rode it 5 miles and put fuel in. Started back. Rode it 8 miles and returned spring hangers at trailer shop. Started back. Rode it the 13 miles back home and started back just to see if it would. So may have to wait for warmer weather. And I am dreading fighting exhaust bolts and possibly creating oil leak to see what the cam is lol.
