You don't need a 2in1. A good 212 that uses a crossover or X pipe of some sort will do a good job. And yes longer. Especially low end and midrange. A good 2in1 will likely do more hp up top but not always and many of them suck at low end. There's just as many **** poor 2in1s as any other exhaust.

There are some good performing 2:2 systems as well. Bassani Pro Streets and Rinehart Crossbacks come to mind. They will perform as well as most 2:1 systems and sound much better. I hate the drone most 2:1 systems put out at highway cruise speeds.

If you are going to stay with those pipes, use a cam with the least amount of overlap. The Andrews 26 comes to mind. Only 20 degrees.

Are lollipops effective in drag pipes or are they (pipes) just too short ? Just wondering.

I've not used them. IMO they can help low end at the expense of up top. Don't know how they work in those pipes.

They can be. They do help with low end torque quite a bit actually so long as they play well with overlap and reversion doesn't rear it's ugly head.
You could try the TTIs from DK Customs. Not out much if they don't.
Just not sure how they'd work in pipes that short.
Both Rush and Khromewerks make slip ons and full systems that perform really well and have a nice deep sound to them.
They both do extremely well with cams that have a lot of overlap. Cams with a lot of overlap can be a big plus when it comes to cylinder fill providing the exhaust plays well with it. Otherwise it'll kill it.

Actually, I have the DK's installed on my regular length system from which I've removed the baffles. They seem to do the trick and moreover subdue that hollow resonant sound you commonly hear from baffle-less pipes.

I ran the Khromewerks HP Plus baffles(dogballs)in a set of drag pipes on my sporty when I first bought it and had great low end but those drag pipes were longer and they actually used the stock hidden crossover pipe so not a good comparison really.

I'll leave you with this. I'm running the S&S 570s in my 2013 Heritage with the 103 and it's because of the 40° overlap the cams have and the Rush slip ons I'm also running that I have really good low end torque with cams that have a later intake open/close (20°/40°. Even before I did the .030 head gasket I was doing 93ft.lbs torque at 2200rpm. More like 100ft.lbs now. Yet I still make power to 5800rpm.
Your low end would be hurting running these cams with those pipes.
My point is choose your cams and exhaust wisely so they work well together and it'll pay off.

You've mentioned several times throughout the forum about your 103" and the parts that play together.. By your description, it sounds like a good runner.. I would like to see your Dyno sheet... Thanks
