Here, it is does sound like something shifted. Pull the tranny dipstick and check to see if the cable is still attached to the arm. I'd also check to see if the snap ring that holds the adjuster plate in the clutch pressure plate is still in place.
I missed this post when I submitted my last reply. I will have to try that tomorrow or the day after if I can scrape together a few minutes before my day off. If everything went super smooth tonight I might get a few minutes to try tomorrow but it's looking like the next two nights of work are going to be about 30 hours of hell. Maybe I'll call off LOL

Looks good to me.. Slacken the cable and see if you can push the end of the cable away from the hole. Pull the clutch cover and take a look at the clutch adjuster.

well I officially have a working clutch again. it needs adjusted but is working. I went a full turn out instead of half and it was too much, lever is half way out before it grabs. I dunno what did the trick seemed like I alternated between adjusting the cable and clutch all the way in and out and pushing the thing holding the cable in the trans about 700 times and suddenly it worked.

less than 12 hrs before it's supposed to be at the shop.......lol. I'm going to let him adjust it and do the state inspection and go over it looking for issues I haven't found yet . I'll feel alot safer once I get a second pair of eyes on it. With the luck I have had with it it wouldn't surprise me if I was riding down the road and it suddenly did some Harry Potter **** and just folded up like an accordion. This thing is giving me more problems then all of my other bikes ever did combined. All they ever needed were tires brakes and relays. At this point I'll just be glad to get it back and be confident that I can leave the house without it breaking down

I pick the bike up yesterday but I only had a chance to put about 30 miles on it all seemed well but 30 miles isn't really enough to even notice a difference. There was some miscommunication between me him and the receptionist when I drop the bike off and he only made sure the clutch was working right rather than actually adjusting it back in so that it grabs a little closer to the bars but he did take it for a ride and go over everything that he could without having to actually rip the bike apart and said it seems good to go. I was expecting a big list of issues and a bill to match because of all the problems I had and I was honest and explained to him that at this point I'm afraid to take the bike any further from home than I'm willing to push it back. I explained that I was there to get another set of eyes on it and some reassurance that it was atleast safe to ride more than anything else and that I had no problem paying for a few hours to get it weather it came from riding or wrenching I didn't care. I also asked him to price me a primary cover since I had stripped 3 of 5 holes in the clutch cover and was trying to decide between replacing the cover or doing helicoils or something of the sort and asked to adjust the rear shocks to a heavier setting.

I got a call later in the afternoon that it was ready and got a ride to pick it up before work.. he said everything looks feels and sounds right, and that he wouldn't expect anything out of the ordinary to go wrong any time soon. billed me $115 and when I asked about the price for a primary cover from DS he quoted me the same price everywhere sells it online but said that he helicoiled the clutch cover holes and wouldn't bother replacing the cover if it was his.

I was shocked.... I trust this guy but not the bike so I had set $2100 aside to fix whatever he found and was worried I might not have put enough back... I actually thought maybe he had me confused with someone else when he said $115 and that it's good to go... he charged me less than 2 hours of shop time and saved me from buying a $280 primary cover....

Good to see you took it to someone that knows what they are doing. Seems honest also.

yea it was nice to get out today for 85mi without 2 saddlebags full of tools, spare battery, and overnight bag. was the first ride I've had since it started acting up that I could really enjoy without constantly worrying it was going to get me killed or leave me sit.

it also left me with some cash that I think may end up getting me a power Vision. a different seat, and quick detachable sissy bar side plates so I can show a little more fender.

I'm also considering throwing a few more bucks at it for some taller apes with shorter risers that will give me about the same height but look alot better. it's currently got 4.5/5in risers w/14in apes and it takes away from the overall look. I'm thinking I could probably get away with reusing everything since the height would be the same so I'd really only need to spend for bars and risers.

I've also decided that I really hate working on a jack and would like to get a lift table but I need one that is lightweight so I can actually move it by myself and we got it out of the way when I don't need it and so far all of the ones I've looked at we're close to 500 lb. My garage is more of a Woodshop than a garage so I've got a ton of heavy woodworking tools that get roll around on a regular basis and having a lift table sitting in the middle of my floor not being used but constantly in the way would be a really big pain.

If I was off on the shim measurement, could that or anything else I might have done inside the primary cause the bike to wiggle? Not like the "Harley death wobble", but like an unbalanced wiggle. As I'm slowing to a stop the rear end wobbles from side to side. During light acceleration it is fine at first but any little movement starts to make the whole bike wobble. Even something as simple as shifting gears. And I don't mean it wobbles once or twice I mean when you tag the next year it will take a few seconds for the bike to stop wobbling. This wobble during light acceleration is more of a whole bike wobble rather than just the rear wheel I'm slowing down. The bike will go in a straight line but never seems to be pointed perfectly straight for more than a second at a time. Under heavy acceleration when it starts to wobble it will still be the whole by quavo but I will feel it more in the bars like they are considering trying the old tank slapper but haven't committed to it. Besides dial work in the primary the only other thing I've done was change bars and risers. Change the height of bars and risers so that there is less Riser height and more bar height but overall grip height is nearly identical.

my first thought was tire pressure and when I check the tire pressure I immediately thought I was right because both tires were way low I had 25 psi in the front and 21 in the rear. I figured it would be fine the next time I took it out after bringing the tire pressure up 240 PSI in each tire but nothing seems to have changed.

Sounds like you have a flat tire. I looked a little back up to remember what bike you have but the tire pressure should be something like 36 front and 40 rear..
