How likely for a 03 88 to have a case leak?

Looks like it's leaking from the inner primary ring.

would the oil travel up like that? its in between the tranny and motor all the way up and oil was pooled on the webbing of the tranny

anyway to check for a case leak after the engines out? Pressurize it?

It's hard to say from the original picture but in the original, it looks like the oil blew across the case while riding. When looking for leaks, the most forward part of the leak is typically the source. With the next pic it's hard to say anything. If it's coming from the cases at the joint like you think, it's more than likely a porous case and not between the case unless the surface was dinged during initial assembly.

i dont know when it started leaking but it wasnt leaking 5 years ago when i sold it to my uncle. the majority of the oil is between the case, the engine and the bottom of the case. I guess my only choices are to clean it up and put it back together and find the leak or to tear down the engine and redo the bottom end. Do cases become porous over time?

your right. every time i look at this thing. i see something different. I got the motor on the stand today. It is a primary leak. thank you for making me look closer.
