Default Which Ignition set up for a 2002 carbed fatboy? Doing cams and 97" kit

Hey guys, just after some advice on upgrading the stock ignition on my carbed '02 fatboy when doing my 95" upgrade S&S 570 cams at 10.1 comp.

Daytona twintec complete kit with coil and leads loss good but is pricey $$$
Are there other good options? Dyna 2000? Dyna tek TC-88 ? Do I need a single fire high out out coil?

Thanks for any advice.

Get the DTT but you don't need the coil. With age plug wires might be a good idea but they can be SE.

Don't really know where to get one. Last one I got, I bought from an online supplier named cyborg cycle. They quit when Custom chrome went into bankruptcy in about 2007. The online suppliers should have a good price for one.. I use California Phil for most of the parts you can get out of Drag Specialty. Drag has the DTT. https://www.harleypartscheap.com/ , Phil's site right now it seems to be down. Maybe it's in Texas?

Another place is JirehCycles.. They show $264.28 for their number 53-234. They can be a PITA to deal with at times but generally have some of the best prices.

Thanks max.

Any reason not to get the complete kit?

Is the Hi out put coil not needed? Will the stock coil do just as well?

Thanks again. 👍

The stock coil on these bikes puts out way more than enough. I run stock on a 11.3 to 1 116 ci Dyna and a 11.0 to 1 131 ci FXR. Tried the DTT high output coil on a FXR and as far as I can tell, it made no difference. When HD went to the twincams, they used and coil with a 1/2 ohm primary. Stock coils are driven pretty hard, mainly because they bike from the factory are run lean and it's harder to light the mixture. Most of the performance guys use stock coils.

I like the DTT TC88, very user friendly and dials can get pretty close to a decent timing map.
