Default lift kit day

Well the forcast is for thunder all day...So I'm going to put the lift kit on the trike that I bought about two months ago. I have 1000 miles on the trike so I will be able to tell if there is a difference once installed. I went to the dentist yesterday and backed the trike into a parking spot on angle and the muffler hit the curb by about 1/2 inch...minor scrape! Won't happen after today I guess!

Default Yep

Well got the lift kit on, trike stuff regular lift. I bought it before
The comfort lift was out I think.
I did the 1000 mile fluid change and looked it over.
I did find the parking brake cable wasn't even connected behind the rear tire.
So hooked that up and guess what the parking brake works now!
I also tried to put 3m film on rear fenders...didn't come out very good.
Not sure I have skill for that job.
I watched the tube couple times and there's seems to work, mine has bubbles creases and just isn't very good.
I have new mufflers comming in mail in morning so I have stock muffs off and haven't ridden it with the kit installed until. Tomorrow .

I saw a few around here with the film and did not like the way it looked , also have seen and talked to a few people with the fender bras and they have had no problems so I went with the bras , looks better than chips , and you will love the lift kit , the bike looks better and rides better to me

Hapbob, I have had a standard lift kit on my 2012. Had standard lifts for about 10,000 miles on my 2010, then got another set for Big Blue. Just rolled over 21,000 miles on my latest Saddle Sore 1000 and Bun Burner 1500 running standard lifts. Also been coast to coast to coast with standard lifts as well.

I recently installed a comfort lift setup to see what the difference is first hand. So far not enough difference to speak of. Like the standard lifts, the comfort lift is an improvement in stance over stock. I'd say as long as you got a standard lift, then you are good to go with what they were originally designed to do, and that is to "lift" the trike!

Congrats on the 2014, ride safe and have tons of fun!
