Default thinking about a Triglide

I have a 07 Ultra now and love my bike but will be 60 this year and still doing good but bones are getting worse every day , love the 2 wheels and really worried about going to 3 wheels and not liking it , don't want to wait till I'm 70 then wish I had bought one when I could afford it , although I think $35,000 for a toy is stupid , but never had a new bike and think I deserve one , got wife's blessing a few weeks ago just can not make up my mind , have test drove one a few miles but that is not far enough and really don't think a test drive is really going to get you relaxed enough , seems like you really have to keep both hands on the bars and keep driving it unlike relaxing on 2 wheels , will it get better , looking for opinion's I guess and if there is any thing to look out for as far as driving one , other than not putting down your feet when you stop , working on that

Default Yea

Yea I hear ya....
I never thought I would spend that kind of money on a bike. But it's my last harley and I can afford it now maybe not after I retire. I love the ride on mine. Much better than I expected. It's not two wheels but it's fun in a different way. Found out last weekend my wife loves it to! She says she won't ride on a two wheel again. I guess I wasn't worried I knew I wanted to try one so did. When I'm tired of it I'm selling and won't be riding any longer. There are so many things I do like about it I know it will extend my riding years.

I didn't buy a new one but love the one we bought. I'm 67 and had to make the decision to go to the Tri Glide or quit last August. Ride two up most of the time and just was feeling unsafe with the wife on the back. Uneven areas with loose gravel at stops were the pits. The ride is different and it will take awhile to get used to those things. When you have three wheels on the pavement you feel a different motion under you than you do with two. Steering is also a different world and you will probably miss the lean. I do. All in all it was a good decision and I am extremely glad we made it as the other decision was to quit and I wasn't ready for that.

When I'm ready for a trike I'm afraid it won't be a HD, Have you seen the Rewaco RF-1 GT from Germany with a Ford 4 cyl . Looks great! www.rewacousa.com

Did the TriGlide last summer, mama feel in love with it and thinking she may want to ride her own I traded my beloved 010 ultra for a 13 TriGlide, and sunk a bunch of $$ into it,I put 6000mi on it in 5 weeks and mama showed no interest in learning to drive it.While it does give you that sense of security and it is a fine machine It was not for me at this time. It went back to Rayc's and purchased the 14 Ultra which I love.

I love mine also. Had to switch to 3 wheels to keep in the wind due to medical issues. Took me about 200 miles before I felt comfortable riding with 1 hand on the handlebar. I had a Road King before. The 2 biggest things for me was to watch the rear end (very wide till you get used to it, especially when filling up) and having to actually have to push and pull the handlebars a lot more/no countersteering. Hope you stay in the wind!!
