Default Staring problem

Has anyone had to start bike in N as it would not even turn over with the bike in 1st gear and clutch pulled in but the bike would go through the prestart procedure ?

I don't think I've ever tried to start ours in gear with the clutch pulled...

If you have a 14 you have to hold the clutch in AND step on the foot brake in order to get it to start in gear. Maybe you can hold the front brake rather than use the foot brake never tried that.

And... If you have a 2013 with the security siren, you can start it in gear. Here's how to do it......
Turn switch to on, wait until the security and check engine go out, THEN pull in the clutch lever, and hit the start button.
If you pull in the clutch lever first you get nothing.
