Hey just got wind of wheel issue ,water marks from dealer washing the Tr GLD. 13Anni. Some stubborn stains. For what is worth Mothers mag/ alum polish along with Mothers power ball (2 designs) really did the trick. I'm sure u had lot input , just wanted to share, pretty snatchy bout that stuff.

So if I keep the wheels waxed with turtle wax and clean every so often...no wheel corrosion problems? Or is more preventive maintanence needed...I had an ultra that the wheels had stains....and they looked bad and nothing would clean them!

You might want to make sure that you clean them after they get water on them (rain or wash). If you let it sit too long you will get the water stains and once you get em they are a sumbitch to get off.

I should have taken the time to powder coat these wheels when I changed tires last...will do that next time. They stain so easily.
Good idea! I saw some wheels that had been powder coated black with silver(chrome?) spokes last fall. The look really popped. I'll bet that they're a lot easier to care for.

Yeah, but now I'm sort of glad I did not powder them. I think I'm going to treat them with Hydrographics.

Those Hydrographics look amazing Kevin,

But, I needed to get at least my front wheel off the TG, The alloy was a mess, I use my bike in all weathers so it has to be fairly easy to clean, and those wheels are certainly not that,
So a complete strip down of the wheel remove all the corrosion, and off to the painters, where he two pack sprayed the complete wheel,

While I went to work on the discs (rotors) removed the rust etc, masked off and sprayed with etching primer, made a little tool to fit into my drill, and polished the st/steel bobbins,

Assemble, and I'll fit to the bike today, well, that has to be easier to clean,

Next job will be be the rear wheels, I re polished those, and waxed them, and still the water marks show, beyond me why the Mo Co didn't clear coat them in the first place,

Your setup looks great!
Have been playing with the graphics a bit on different parts (not wheels). All done in satin black base and covered in satin clear (all powder coat)

Hey Dennis,

That looks really good. We've been testing the same film for a couple of months now.

With the clear powder it is impervious to normal wear and tear. But we are still experimenting with different with different temps to get the highest resistance to damage from sharp impact (rock dings etc.).
