I took a ride from my home in Baytown, TX down to El Campo, TX to see the Vietnam Memorial Travelling Wall.
The ride this morning was great, nice weather and just fun.
Went to the Wall and looked up some buddies and friends again.
Had a great lunch at Mikeska's BBQ and headed home.
What a difference.
Hot as hell and the traffic coming back thru Houston was really slow. And HOT!!
Did I mention it was HOT?
Air temp showed 112, but, of course, that's the heat coming off the roadway.
But it was still a great day of riding, about 225 miles round trip.

Default 6" lrs

We hit 90 degrees today installed summer windscreen. Really nice in the heat seems as effective as 9" LRS wind still soft on face. Ride safely fearless

P.S. Grandson on seat refused to get off unless he got to ride into garage he won!

ACK!

Hottest I know of riding the TG in was 106* in Idaho...didn't bother me much, although I don't prefer it. But it was pretty miserable for Mary.

Don't even want to think about 112*

It was 120* going through the Mojave last month doing our dealers Route 66 trip. Not too bad if you dress for it.

120* I can't take OFF enough clothes to get cool for that heat. I could see buzzards on the side of the road in trees licking their chops as I ride by thinking "an all you can eat buffet" lol

I didn't take anything off, as a matter of fact I actually added items. A cooling vest and a set of Cycle Gear's Heat Out base layers. They worked great. I was amazed.
Breathing was a bit hard until I put a bandana over my mouth - problem solved.
