Took a little bit but I got my forks off the bike, got them draining while I get some more fork oil tomorrow. I also installed the DK cooling deflector wings. Will hopefully get the Intiminators in tomorrow night and get to riding Saturday…

Ordered a MotorTrike Reverse Kit to install. Wasn't sure I really wanted to spend the money for this but decided it would be nice to have a consistently working reverse system.

I love their system and thought about it too but mine has never missed a beat so far (KNOCK ON WOOD)!

I've only got 26K on mine. I have always babied the reverse as I have read that it is a failing point on the trike. Went to use it late last fall and "click". Reset the breaker on it and still nothing. Checked the grounds, etc. Probably just needs brushes but I decided I wasn't going to mess around with it. We like to travel and I want it to work whenever I need it and this will give me better peace of mind.

I've had 2 or 3 reverses go out...but they have always been covered by warranty.

I do not baby my reverse, but I do not abuse it either...I never use it to back uphill...maybe a very slight grade, but nothing where it is really straining.

If I ever find myself with a Trike that does Not have a warranty, and the reverse goes out, I would definitely go with a mechanical.

After searching for what seems like hours, but was probably less than 30 minutes I finallllllly found the video with "Hoodie" in which he tells how to adjust the idle speed of the engine. It seems like the idle speed warm was staying up around 1100. After trying the method Hoodie recommended the idle speed is back down to 950 warm....so it must work

Kevin, ya need an index for all your videos, it would make finding things easier

Glad you found it, and got your idle adjusted back to where it should be.

I know, we really do need some sort of index...I am completely open to any suggestions of how to do it.

Been wanting to do that, but cannot figure out a good way.
