I gave Old Blue a good bath, shined up the shiny stuff and rode over to San Jacinto H-D, in Pasadena, TX, for their April Fools Day celebration.
I ran into one of my old friends from work and we visited for about an hour while his wife shopped.
I resisted the urge to trade in my TG on a new Freewheeler.
Man, I like the lines of those things, but I'm spoiled to the creature comforts of the TG.
And mine is paid for so............

Let's see, so far I've installed (all from DK Customs):

- Rear Lift for Shocks (highly recommended, makes a HUGE difference in handling and my shoulders thank me)

- 1 1/2" Deluxe Tank Lift (front and rear)

- Floorboard extensions

- Trike Touring Deflector Wings

- Premium Discrete Breather System

- Chrome Bobber Style Complete HiFlow Air Cleaner for TwinCam

- DynoJet Power Vision Flash Tuner with AutoTune

- V&H Trike Deluxe Slip-on Mufflers

And the fans from Wards Parts Werks (worth every penny). In fact, all of the above have been worth the cost.

To be installed:

- Kuryakin Brake Pedal Extender

- Tour-Pak Relocator Kit

- Oil Filter Relocation/Oil Cooler Combo for H-D Trikes

I do have a question on how to mount the oil cooler on the Twin-Cooled Trike; there doesn't appear to be enough clearance between the frame downtube and the coolant line for the plastic mounting brackets to fit. I'm assuming the coolant bracket bolted to the frame crossmember needs to be loosened and moved over to the starboard/right side of the crossmember?

I know you gotta be enjoying your ride...after you get those last 3 installed, you'll enjoy it even more!

Yes, there is a very specific procedure for installing the clamps, which also includes a couple of spacers. It is outlined in steps 1-6 of the instructions.

If you've misplaced the instructions, send us an email at Support@DKCustomProducts.com and we'll shoot you over a copy.

Kevin, appreciate the quick response! Email is sent.

Everything I've installed so far has been a definite improvement and I'm working on the next DK Customs wish list.

Cool Shake down ride first of season!!!!

First trip out the is great to get back in the wind, Bride loved it Also first ride with Mighty Mite love jug fans.Going through town motor temps always above 250 stayed below 235. I believe it is a great investment even though it was by no means hot today, in town at stop lights it is always hard motor Ride safely Fred

Default Added the DK Custom Products Oil Cooler & Filter Relocation Kit to 2017 TriGlide

This is the third item I've purchased and installed from DK Custom Products. I must say that I am extremely impressed with the quality and precision of the pieces. Previous installs included a 2" gas tank lift lit (with optional rear gas tank lift kit), tour pak relocation kit and now the oil cooler and filter relocation kit. The only one I did myself was the gas tank lift kit; the other two I had done at the H-D dealership.

In case anyone didn't know, the cooler and filter relocation kit DK Custom Products sells does fit the 2017 TriGlide. Wifey and I went on an all-day ride with a local HOG chapter yesterday, going from Birmingham, AL to Chattanooga, TN for a car show, and the bike performed flawlessly. It wasn't overly hot, but cruising at 70, sometimes 75 on the way back, I felt better about having the oil cooler than not having it, although I don't have a temp gauge to indicate differential temperate improvement.

Only thing left to check is how the J&S Jack works with the newly-installed filter and lines. I don't think clearance for the filter is going to be a problem, but I haven't looked under the bike to see how the technician ran the oil lines, so before I try jacking it up, I'll have to make sure lines won't be touched. All in all, it took the H-D tech about 3 hours to do the install, which he had not done before. I had previously contacted DK Custom Products and asked how much time it should take a certified H-D mechanic who had never done the install to complete the work, and they said in the 3-4 hour range. Here are a couple of pics of the finished product:

Ran through a swarm of large juicy bugs at 75. Can barely see through the windshield. Very thankful I had my face shield pulled down.
