What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?
#1071
The reverse motor on the Tri-Glide is a HITACHI...Also it is not a starter motor,Its a high torque slow spinning motor....The part that causes the problem is the brushes , They will from moisture wear/fall apart and crumble , I repaired mine myself a few times before i went mechanical..

Went to Harley today. Picked up a demo Zeppelin seat. 1st thing I noticed. It sits you up over 2 inches . Which made windshield and handle bars not to my liking. Also with sitting taller feet don't touch the ground.(just thinking if reverse goes out ) Also felt like sitting on top of Trike. I like sitting a little lower in the seat . For me it feels better in the curves. As far as the seat it's self. I did like the adjustability of it . I put on about 150 miles on it . It is much better then a Hammock seat.due to the hammock seat to me feels as it trying to give you a wedgie. One other thing I noticed with the extra width of the Zeppelin seat it helped move the heat back a little bit. ( Got cought in spring training baseball traffic. )

Installed a 10 inch recurve windshield a few days ago. Not sure I like it so much. I've been running an 7.5 inch recurve windshield for a couple of years now, which I like because I like to look over the top of the windshield. Just thought I'd try something a little taller to lessen the amount of wind I get. With the 10 inch, the bike seems to "dart" around in the lane as if the front end seems to get lighter and as if the front tire is not sticking to the pavement like it should. Probably going to cut the 10 inch down a little bit and check it out. Anyone else out there running recurve windshields? What do you think of them and what height etc. ? Thanks

Yes, it looks like a barn door mounted on there, but it works for us!

BTW, the 10 inch recurve is on a 2013 trike and of course, it does not have the "vented" batwing fairing. Probably should have waited another year but I do like the paint on the ann. model. Wonder if the vent makes a difference, bet so. Hey LS, they probably don't make a windshield that you can look through, lol, 6'6". Thanks for the replies, guys.
