Summit Racing has anodized fittings.
We use the brass because they seal better than steel. Lots of folks use aluminum....BUT, aluminum can fatigue and crack with the harmonic vibes that a Harley produces.
Might be easiest to paint the brass black.

From memory, I think it's 1/4" NPT...might be 5/16", check with us on Monday.

It is under warranty, and I like the electric just fine when it works...so I'm letting them put a new one in at no cost to me.
On my '11 it went out under warranty also...got a new one on it too.
