10 inch lbs sounds a little lite, book has 90 - 100 inch lbs.

Hey Wiz I hope this was a mis-print the torque spec on your web site states, "100 to 110 in lbs or 8 ft. lbs" Thats is what I did was torqued to 100 in lbs.

 

You safe, Wiz was having a fat finger day when he typed 10.

But I got it fixed works great .Did it just like Dennis told me to . hooked trailer up hit the bypass ran GREAT!! mama happy now we can leave for vacation in co. next sat. How can you tell your clutch is slipping new be sorry

 

Crack the throttle hard while riding in gear, And if the tachometer rises but the speedometer doesn't ' Your cluch is slipping...

 

...and when you back the throttle down to hold a new constant speed, your RPM shouldn't drop, either.

 

Funny, when we bought the '09 new for my wife she had trouble pulling the clutch lever (Cancer drained her hand strength). Steve the Service Manager at Antelope Valley Harley suggested replacing the clutch spring with one from a 96" engine. Wife didn't have any problem with the clutch on her Deluxe. Made all the difference in the world, she no longer had any problem pulling the clutch. When we bought her the new '11 trike I took the '09 and rode it until '14 when I traded it in for a Freewheeler. 80+thousand miles on the stock clutch with a lighter spring and never had a slippage problem. I'm 6' and 250# give or take. When I first took her trike I ran her at 55, then nailed the throttle without downshifting and she didn't slip and I had the stock primary sprocket in. Sorry you are having problems
