Hello all I was talking to a fellow trike owner and he had told me he took off his tires and replaced them with Michelin tires and told me the ride was so much better than the stock tires . Has anyone else done this would like to here your input thanks

 

While I have not used Michelin tires. My perspective on this is, Michelin tires are a premium tire. They do ride nice but I cant see the cost @ 1 1/2 times the price of other tires making that much of a difference.

 

I have always stayed with the original equipment and have been very satisfied with them.

 

I stuck with the standard Dunlop front tire, that seems to do well. But, after discovering the standard rear Dunlop Signatures are not the greatest tires (per reviews and testing on TireRack.com) I decided to swap mine out for Michelins. I bought Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S Tires at America's Tire and they gave me $50 each for the Dunlops. My dealer swapped them out for a fee at delivery. I now have about 5K miles and love the way it handles in dry and wet. I have no comparison to how it would be with the standard Dunlops, but the Michelins did seem to be considerably more sticky. So, far with 5K miles there is no sign of wear.
