Under the stars, or even a king-sized sheet, may sound more romantic, but for my wife's trike (and my bikes) we have found a Nelson-Rigg UV2000 in XL size works quite well to cover everything but the fenders and trunk. Plus it folds up smaller than a foot ball, so it's great to carry for rainy or dewy nights on trips.
