New Progressive Shocks
Just rec'd my new 416's for the Trike. Here is an update.
Took my wife out here in Michigan ( the roads suck big time) and she immediately noticed the smoother ride. The Michigan speed bumps (that's what we call the swales in the road) were handled very well and were not as bone jaring as the stock shocks. I ran 30 psi in them when she was on the back. I weigh in at 240lbs and she is 140lbs. I spoke with Progressive and you could pump these up to 100psi but i doubt very much if you would have to. You don't need a lot of air pressure on these new ones. The ride is much better and the fast lane changes were handled very well with minimal sway. They react a lot faster and do not have the sudden bumping as the old stock ones had. Overall, IMHO, they are well worth the $400 bucks.

Hell I don't know about Flat Rock but everytime I go to Livonia to see the son I need to take pain pills and I'm in a car. Thats why I live in Owosso. I see you have a tuner, did you remove your cat ? I 'm going to PM you with my number so we can talk at length. And I took a lot of passes at Detroit Dragway in the late 60's. Thanks Rick

No Box Removal
The good news is you do not have to remove your box, or the fenders for that matter. You razor cut about 1/4" off the existing air line to have a "new" end going into the new shock air hose bracket...very easy. The hardest part was the bottom grade 8 bolts on both bottom ends. You have to loosen the shock lift bracket (3 grade 8 bolts) just to have enough room to pull the bottom shock bolt off. You have to remove the top shock bolt first then wiggle the bottom out. After, torque the bolts to proper specs and your ready to rock and roll. Let me know if I can help you walk through this!
