Default Battery life

I left my main switch on and killed the battery. I bought the 1.25 amp hour charger. How long should a fully discharged battery take to charge? The trike is 2 years old. Also, how long does a stock battery last? Thanks!

My battery is 3 years old and still going strong. I'm not sure what the life expectancy is.

My batttery is 4 years old. Don't know how long they are to supposed to last. I plan on changing mine next year.

Battery life is sometimes just a roll of the dice, I've had one take a crap on me in as few as 6 months. The battery in my 06 Ultra died 6 months after I took delivery, it was always on a battery tender when not being ridden and was replaced under warranty. The battery in my Triglide is 3 years old now, had I not sent it down the road I would have replaced it before next year. I'm sure I'll be replacing the 4 year old battery in my Dads 09 Triglide sometime this winter.

Original battery in my '09. We ride year round out here so don't usually use a tender. Only additional draw on the battery is a GPS and GO PRO camera, and they don't use much electricity.

We've (well me anyway) all hit the kill switch and left the ignition on. It is like boats, you have to launch with the drain plug out at least.

It has been in excess of 24 hours and the yellow charge light is still on. I am taking the trike in tomorrow for a possible new battery. Also, do any of you have the switch that allows your running lights to stay on with the high beam on? Do you like it?

I had to replace 2 of my '07 batts after 4 years but have a 3rd '07 thats still going strong, the '08, '09, and '10 are still good also. I use batt tenders in the winter, 1 week on 3 weeks off in heated storage.
