Ihave 2012 triglide and lost all rear braking today. Anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Has anyone else had the same thing happen to them?

Have you checked your brake fluid ? You could have blown a line, or a cup in the master cyl, or maybe a caliper went bad, or maybe loss of a brake pad.
So many things could go bad wouldn't dare guess without looking......
Is there any fluid showing anywhere?

If your Triglide is an early build date you may have just experienced the dreaded rear stop Lite switch failure. HD issues a recall bulleting M-1310 that addresses this. Just a little snipped from the bulletin is below.

"Motorcycles Affected
All 2009-2011 and certain 2012 Touring model motorcycles,
including CVO Touring and Tri-Glide motorcycles built through
September 16, 2011 are affected. A VIN list specific to vehicles
shipped to your dealership is available via h-dnet.com."

You need to get with your dealer to have it checked out, I had the rear brakes fail on my 2010 due to the brake light switch.

That's interesting. How does the brake light switch loose the rear brakes??
Lighting maybe, but the brakes? I'm lost I guess.

BEFORE YOU START MESSING WITH IT.... a 2012 should be under warranty, and there is a recall on the break light pressure switch.

It is directly connected with the brake line and will leak brake fluid

Here is the scoop. The master cylinder for the rear brakes went bad. Harley replaced it under warranty.

Just a little over 9000 miles. The brakes went out without any warning. Thet were ok one minute and gone the next.
