front tire

I'm riding on the original Dunlops. I don't know much about tire wear but if it makes any difference much of the mileage is long straight runs....been coast to coast in my first year of ownership. Maybe that makes a difference???

I think my OEM front tire was the cause of low speed wobble so I replaced it at 13,000 with a Shenko premium rear tire that would fit a 2 wheel Ultra.I reversed the tread and after 2500 miles I could not be more satisfied. No wobble corners better stops quicker and smoothes out the ride.$80 for the tire and $30 for balance and mount.

At a little over 30K miles I just started on my 3rd front tire. Still have good rubber on the rears. Still have over 50% of the stock brake pads left.
1st front lasted around 10k (lots of twistys). 2nd lasted about 20K (much more straight line riding). We'll see how this tire does...heading for Alaska in a couple of weeks.
Meant to try the rear tire reversed up front and completely forgot about it until this thread. Going to give it a try next change.
