My old dealer and present dealer always give me a receipt for the work they perform.

I haven't had that problem on mine yet, but why wouldn't either anti squeal compound on the back side at the piston contact, & other places that contact the back or sides of the pad, or a stick-on insulator at the same area work? It does with autos. There isn't much difference in the science & operation there.
Just a thought................

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has squealing brakes, atm 5,200 miles on it. Brakes squeal and the ping from the parking brake while driving are crazy loud sometimes.

I have a 2011 Tri Glide on my second set of brake pads. The squealing of the rear brakes is annoying. The dealer says thats the way it is. Not sure I agree and don't want to live it with like this. Any suggestions? Fast

Lyndall Gold brake pads and have them cross drill and chamfer your rear rotors.

I am just amazed that your dealers are kissing you guys off. I talked to the Service Manager at the local Harley dealer, Glendale Harley. He said his mechanics get paid hourly for the work they do. Doesn't matter if the bike owner pays the $80.00 an hour labor charges, or the parent company pays a lesser amount under warranty. The dealer and the service department both "make a buck" I asked if he got in trouble for charging the company for Can't find, he said he never turns in a can't find, and he gets more heat from Customer Complaints. The dealership Manager came in and said that this dealership lives on repeat business. He said unhappy customers make it real bad for business. There is a lot of competition between dealers out here, there are 3 or 4 within easy riding distance. If you can get the ear of the dealer owner, or go to the parent company. I would think something like squeaking breaks could be thought of as a safety thing. Someone said it earlier in this post, if my $18,000 Toyota Carolla had squeaking breaks I'd have a hemorrhage at the dealer if they told me "they all do that" Even worse that my $33,000 motorcycle did it. I'd be careful about removing the parking break if you are still under warranty, if a recall came out for the squeaking breaks and you have modified the breaking system, you could be out of luck.

Good Luck, hope everyone with break problems get them fixed satisfactorily
