Hi all,
A friend is looking to replace his scratched mufflers on his 11 Trike.
Does anyone know for sure if the ones off of my 09 Street Glide would be the same?

But..... they would be Cat mufflers, yes?? May want to check before installing them.

If your friend has a cat head pipe then he will be running dual cats.

 

2009 muffler part # are left 65538-09 right 65846-09 , 2010 muffler part # are left 65538-09 right 65846-10 , 2011 muffler part # are left 65538-09 right 65846-10, these are trike muffler part numbers. notice the left muffler part # is the same on the 9-10 and 11 trikes. in 2010 when the cat was put in the head pipe the right side muffler part # changed on the 10 and 11 model years. does this mean the 09 trike left muffler is cat less and the right had a cat. Cat mufflers started in 2006 on different models. Some models have one cat muffler some have two. Cal bikes had cat mufflers before the other 49 states. Export bikes have cat mufflers. Some 07 domestic models did not have cat mufflers when the went to fuel injection the XL sporty models. If you look at the Harley Davidson Accessory catalogs for Screaming Eagle mufflers some are for 49 state some 50 state. Some have cats some dont. My point which mufflers have cats which dont. Your mufflers will fit on your friends Trike. If one or both or none of your mufflers have cats Ck the part numbers.

I was looking some thing up in my 09 triglide parts manual. The 09 California model has a cat in the head pipe. Yet uses the same mufflers as the 49 state trikes that use a one cat muffler. 65846-09 Interesting.
