Barbara: I always abuse my TG. You can disconnect the green wire if and when the starter tries to engage once the TG is started. The green wire is not hard to un-plug.

What's the news on the starter switch Mike? This is the 2nd or 3rd time gone bad?

Barbara: This is the third switch that has gone bad. It goes into the shop tomorrow to be fixed.The first switch failed June 2009, the second July 2011, and now this one. I wish I knew what was causing the problem. We do know they redesigned them in 2007.

After your latest problem, I installed the new starter end cap today just in case. Took me less than 15 min.

Yes, all they do is replace the end of the starter. You push on the plunger and the starter engages. The black one cost 12.95 on ebay if that helps
