Here's a pic of the first 09 TG that my dealer sold back in the fall of 08. My dealer just closed his doors, so I can't find out who or where he got the rims

Hate to say it, but that looks gaudy as hell. The fringe and red/chrome rims make me think of a circus clown car.

the Tri come out in 09 with proprieatary aluminum rims, I have not been able to find any steel wheel that will fit! Some have said the early falcon or Mustang rims but I have not tried one yet!

well, the 2009 in the photo doesn't have HD proprietary wheels.looks like someone found some aftermarket wheels to fit or changed the hubs. guess we'll never know.

Bubba - I agree, looks like a clown car. BUT, each to his own. I don't have to ride it.

Got a little carried away with the fringe, I see a lot of traditional hot rods with the red rims and beauty rings, baby moons. I was thinking more of just black rims and baby moons. You see some old Harley Service cars with that same look. I bet an aftermarket compnay picks it up some day, if the demand is there. The rims may have to be a reverse type rim to clear. Someone with some machine shop and welding skills may have found a rim with the right bolt pattern and moved the inside of the wheel out. I am trying to find some ol Falcon rims and see how close they are, just goofing off, winter project!

I agree. I noticed in your signature that you did 28 years, why didn't you do the full 30? Did you have constructive time or something? I just finished 30 in the Navy 2 years ago this October. Don't miss it one bit either.

Bubba - my last 4 years were in a NON-flying billet (same health issues that now ground me from riding). it just wasn't fun any more and if I couldn't fly I didn't want to be in any more. so..... I put in my papers.

now you know the rest of the story.

I just the wheel centers look close to the outside, this means thay are deep and will clear all the junk around the hub. A reverse rim in the opposite direction. I would wager these rims are special made and not off the shelf!

What is the name of your dealer, maybe he will remember where the rims come from?
