My last GW trike I ran a Michelin pilot active in reverse and when I changed I went with a Bridgestone battle ax ( BT45) mounted as arrows said...couldn't tell a nickle's worth of difference.....

I think it's more for water dispersing than anything, not saying it's the only reason....also the Michelin and the Bridgestone are both bias ply tires and stock GW tires are radials.....due to trikes not leaning when turning or riding the bias ply last almost three times as long..most wing trikes were getting about 5000 miles from stock tires and over 20,000 with the bias ply tires....

I may switch to the BT45 when my stock dunlop wears out, but if I get 20000 out it I may stay with it....

Also, the tires the GW trikes are using are rear tires for a sport touring motorcycle...

I wish I could find a car tire for the front because it would put even more rubber on the road and should last a lot of miles and half the price.

I ran a Michelin Commander rear mounted backward on my 08 Ultra Lehman trike and had 20,000 miles on it when I traded for the 11 TriGlide. It would have went another 5000 miles I believe. I got 20,000 out of the Dunlop too.

I monitor couple of tire forums and there is a tire by Bridgestone that will prolly be my choice. It is called Exedra Max.Bias rear, going on the front of the TG.BTW I think it could come in whitewall.I know from other tire threads here some trikers want w/walls. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. I think I will stay with what I got ( stock tires). They have served me well in the past.

Stock tires for me also...got 15K on front tire, but w/long trips planned had new one installed in March. Think I could have gotten couple more K's but didn't want to chance it.
