Default Trike's in the shop for two weeks....

I left the Triglide at the dealership yesterday for a fluids change along with changing out to the 30 tooth sprocket (I furnished all parts but fluids). Also getting the rear brakes checked out. They're pretty much useless & the rotors feel rough.
I though I was going to get a local indy to change the sprocket but opted to let the dealer do it to keep the warranty gods happy. I've had the parts for a month but thought I'd wait until fall to have it done. The dealers service dept is backed up two weeks but between work & an upcoming vacation, I decided to let them go ahead since I can't ride right now anyway.
All my past experiences with the dealer service have been extremely good or extremely bad. Cross your fingers for me.

Our dealer has a sign "to be fair to all customers, we don't install parts not bought from us"!

What the sign should say is "to help line our pockets we will only install parts we gouge you for". The dealer we go to will install parts that are supplied.

Earlier this Spring I had talked with the service manager about doing the sprocket change & he checked & confirmed the back order of the sprocket. I asked & he had no problem with installing the parts if I bought them. I wasn't trying to beat him out of a parts mark-up but wanted to be sure to have the parts in hand before I brought in the trike. I live 60 miles from the dealer & it would be a major PIA if any of the parts were out of stock.
When I mentioned that some of my experiences with their service were bad, they were all about it not being completed when promised, never with the quality of their work.
