Default sliding in seat on turns

ok i am learning to ride on 3 instead of 2 wheels. but in the turns i seem to slide in the seat to the oppiste direction. i only have a few hours on the trike because here in maine its been raing and cold. but any advice would help from more experienced ridders. i tried closing my legs and that did help, wondering if its the vinel seat?

No I don't slide in the stock triglide seat. Im 5ft 11in 190 31 inseam. I never wipe the seat with armoral or any thing slippery. I have a back rest which holds me in tighter. Then when I did not have on. But with out it I never slid from side to side. I ride with denim jeans most times. The back rest might help.

Yeah, huggin' the tank helps. Also lean into the curve a bit. Just remember to relax. You'll get it.
I try not to lean too much for fear of spilling my beer!

I don't ride with a back rest and have no problem sliding from side to side. I quess I use the handle bars to help keep me in place during tight curves.

Same here, the sharper the curve, the harder the pull - push on the handlebars which keeps you positioned in the seat. I have never had a problem other than with the Voyager with sliding in the seat

I had the same problem. My skinny *** would wanna slide right out of the seat. I found that if I lean into the turns that helps. But what has helped me the most was to built a custom back rest from this -

Taking the back rest off my office chair. Though I already had a mustang back rest on. I just reused the mounting hardware.

I had a shrinker / stretcher tool here
and shaped the office chair back to fit me. Most are curved. Where as the motorcycle backrests Ive see are flat. So if you dont have that tool. An office chair back rest will work just fine.

I recovered it with black vinyl and even added extra foam padding. A fabric shop will have the buttons so you can have sunken buttons as well.

You can mount it right to the existing mustang backrest hardware. If you choose to do this. You can save money by just ordering the backrest hardware from mustang seats without the backrest.

I love the backrest I made. It makes me part of my ride. Even in the turns.

Default Velcro

Velcro on the seat and the seat of your pants will work but you will probably need help getting off the trike

No, it is centripital force trying to make you continue in a straight line while the trike turns. Once you know about it, you can adjust your riding abilities to cope with it.
