240 Euro (about $300). However, the harley service agreement for warranty work says that you can change your fluids yourself as long as you document it and save your receipts. So, knock that out and just get the diagnostics and adjustments checked.

My dealer gives free regularly scheduled maintenance, parts and labor for as long as you own it! I know....hard to believe. All new bikes purchased there get this offer.
They call it "The Family Plan". Rice Lake Harley Davidson, Rice Lake Wis. As far as I can tell, they do a pretty good job too.

The actual service to do mine...3 hours labor, checks etc, syn3 in all holes, was just over 350...including a wash and detail. I bought and had installed a new windshield, bought enough oil and a chrome filter( to do the next oil change) and it was still less than the 625 you paid.No idea why yours was so much...other than greed

Default Brought my own Juice

I think I paid $170 or $180 because I brought my own oil, Amsoil! I did not want to pay that but usually have mine serviced at the dealer until the warranty runs out. Full check out and adjustments with wash & detail. I believe they had to adjust the parking brake and clutch!

Could take it down the street to a Kawasaki dealer and bring my own juice and get it done for $50 bucks. I used to do my own but for $50 bucks I won't get my hands dirty. I know a bunch of Harley owners that take theirs there and have not heard of any problems!

That's not being very FRUGAL. Soap and water does not cost $50. The frugal way is to do it yourself.

Zips in ******* is close to T.C. and a lot less but I personally dont really trust their service dept., Gildners in W.Branch would be a better choice,.

Dont know much about HD in MT.Pleasant other than they are crammed into a small building and sell several brands.

I use the Grand Rapids Harley Dealer. I could do it myself but don't want any issues if a warrenty issue comes up. Work seems fine.
1000 mile service was $297.
5000 mile service was $369.
They did tell me that I would need rear brake pads at 10,000 miles. Yes, I use the parking brake. Never had to have brake pads on any previous bike at 10,000.

Yea! and it kills me not to be able to do it anymore! I find I am doing less and less with the old cars and the bikes! Had any idea I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself. Out of warranty I will probably try to do a couple myself. I scavenge that dirty quart out and I don't believe the $50 dollar guys do.

With synthetic on 5000 I doubt it is a big deal but I get **** about the maintenance even if I am cheap...lol
