The 09 and 10 tri's had a lazy 6th gear and when running on the warm side especially two up really sucked when coming off the line. It took HD the 3rd model year to get the gearing right. You will have a usable 6th gear and will come off the line better. Actually you will get/feel better bottom end performane that us 09 and 10 Tri owners without the gear.

The gear has been part of our Harley Tax, a lot of us are changing over to it. You have the good fortune of having the right primary pulley from the factory...

Thanks! This Harley stuff is addicting and fun. My wife said after we had owned the trike a month or so that if someone had said she would be riding a harley and wearing HD clothes they would be nuts but this is kinda of fun! Just can't wait for spring. Gus

Keep her away from the shoes or boots section. Their not worth buying. The soles wear-out too fast.

Why would the soles wear out so fast, your supposed to be riding and not walking.

All the boots I purchased through the dealerships. The soles wore out fast. The boots are made in China. The shoe repair places round here are run by china men and the quality rubber they resole the shoes with are very cheap. Seemed like every 6 months I had to resole them.

I did find a way to stop wasting money on re-soling them.

Well that's how HD's markets now and you all fall into the segment of the market they cater to! I get aggrivated having to push my way through the chinese clothes to get to the parts counter. I am not having much fun pulling out my wallet and spending countless hours working on a new trike to make it run an cool it down, but hey to each his own!

I am glad you are enjoying your new Tri

Just dont let her take a solo ride on the TG or you may have to find yourself another ride. My wife loves "Hers"

I've had my '11 TG for a week now and really enjoying it. The wife loves it too. Transition from two wheels to three seems pretty natural, but still getting used to using more upper body to steer through the corners. No regrets. Will do the cam, breather and pipe mods after a few break-in miles. I still have the natural inclination to put my feet down at stops. :0)
