PC 5 vs TTS

Depends on what your abilities and what modifications you plan on making, each has its own strengths. If you don't want to tune your own or have access to a Dyno the PCV purchased from Fuelmoto is a good choice, they can install a map that is close to your modifications so it is essentially plug and play. In my case I choose the TTS because I wanted to change my transmission sprocket which changes the speedometer reading, the TTS has the ability to adjust for either primary or final drive gearing changes.

I normally say mine is spot on too. Ie no back firing, popping or wheezing. Very crisp smooth throttle response and good mpg in other words every thing you would expect out of a well tuned bike. Mine is the factory hd stage 1 download. Could a custom tune on a dyno by an experienced tuner coax a little more out her? probably, but seat of the pants tells me it is very close.

For now, I plan on leaving the cat on and hopefully later on I will be able to change it out also. I am not a tuner so my thinking was this would give me a good tune for now and later would be an easy update. I had the Harley Stage 1 map on my 08 which always worked well but I felt it always could run a little better. My exhaust have a 96-xxxxx and I was unable to find much information on them, but one of the two pipes inside is straight through. I am not sure this is proper or if someone (before me) knocked out a plug on the far end of the pipe. They do make a great loud sound and have noticed that the cat unit has quieted them down some. I would love to get the most power and the best mileage too. My gas mileage has not been very impressive so far and nothing close to what was advertised by Harley (imagine that).

I thought it was the map that Mr. Wizard helped me with. That's gotta be as spot on as it gets.

The point I'm trying to make from above is.... How good is your tune unless you have another tune/alike bike to compare it to or can put it on a dyno and actually see what is happening when it is happening.
To me, a "spot on" tune is --> "The way I like it and I'm happy with it". I would stretch this out to be what Bill meant as well.
The TTS... VTune your motor only and get a handful of runs in you may be within 80% of "Spot On-Right On". VTune to hit all cells across the tables and you may hit 90% (-+). Work with the Datamaster for spark retard and advance and you could get 95% (-+) VTune after working with your spark and you are going to be very, very close.
PCV with auto?? Where are the %? Do you guys with the PCV with auto get back in to your PCV and accept your 20% tune changes from the auto part so it can continue to tune? What about spark tables? How do you know and read knock or how can you advance/retard your curve? How close are you really to "Spot On-Right On"?
Again, not trying to start an argument about anything. I'm just thinking out loud. I knew what Bill meant and again no offense but I thought I would bring this to the front of the page to see if there are any other thoughts that may be helpful.
So, how do you know it is "spot on"?

All kidding aside. For me spot on is how the tune compares to my expectations, i.e., over 30mpg, no oven-hot temps on the right side, more respsonsive than the stage II tune. If I decide spending near $1000 for a dyno is worth more to me than the VTune process, then I'll have a new spot on.
OBTW, I'm almost ready for the 3rd tank of gas. The ECM is learning & SOTP says it's getting better (closer).
