I'm doing the 30T pulley mod to my 2007 Softail Custom.

Lake Shore HD has three different 30T pulleys to choose from.

What would be the correct part# for a 2007 Softail 30T pulley, that takes a 20mm belt?

Thanks

I'd give Bill SParks at Lake Shore HD a call to confirm which part number will fit.

Default Premature rear brake pad wear

I noticed that my rear pads are worn down to less than 1/8 inch. I haven't had much squeeking noise like a lot of the posts note. I was just installing the 1.5 inch lifters and noticed how thin they were.. Just around 7000 miles on a 2010. The 2 year warranty is up.

I read that some of you have removed the parking brake some have installed lyndall pads and some mention that HD changed the brakes in 2011. Are there any after market pads availible that last longer not concerned about the squeek. Do you need any special tools or instructions on replacing them. Done a lot of brakes over the years on my cars..

I'm sure there are other manufactures of brake pads but for my money I installed the Lyndall pads. No special tools needed to change the pads but a service manual is really nice to have if you plan on working on your bike.

I also use the Lyndall pads and had them drill my rotors, also the parking brake was one of the first things i removed almost two years ago.

I had the sprocket changed out by the dealer to the 30t. I immediately noticed the difference in performance and use of 6th gear. They also found a problem with the nut on the shaft. It has started to back off and became galled. There is an upgrade kit ($250) that had to be installed and was covered by ESP. At least that was good news. I am now tryiing to find a way to recalibrate the speedometer. I understand the SESPT cannot be used for this purpose. I was told by the parts department that an electronic speedometer recalibration module from Drag Specialties (p1121) will work if the plug is changed to match the '09 plug. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks

I have a question about the calibratrion of the speedometer after installing the 30 tooth pulley. I did mine last fall and bought the PCV tuner from Fuelmoto. I had the thing re-calibrated really close, but then this spring I took the trike in for service and I think they may have messed with my settings. Does anyone remember approx what the speedo/ tac readings are when they are correct? Right now I get 2450 rpm at 60mph in sixth gear. Of coarse i didnt write down my settings last fall.

Didn't know you could change the speedo with the PCV.

I have the pCV vision, I think its called, and yes you can change the speedo. I just havent got around to hooking it back up to check it, but while riding last night it just seemed like I wasnt going as fast as the speedo said. This spring I had it in the dealer to get the radio fixed and they said something abaout re-flashing the radio. So I question them on it and they claimed they didnt mess with anything else.
