Default Redline Gear oil

I was at Beast racing today In Brownsburg looking for Super Shock Heavy.
And the owner said to use the light weight . Becouse the heavy holds
heat and It was better for the cold start ups. I bought a Quart for $7.30
put it in and it did seem to shift alot better at start up. Just some F.Y.I
The Light wieght says its 75w-140.

i use the heavy in all three of my bikes. when that pepto colored slush gets warmed up i personally dont think it holds any more heat. besides what would tranny oil have to due with starting your scoot?

Default Redline Line Light

I was always odd man out on this one, I use the light. Posted on this several months ago. The numbers match the HD recommendations closer or the trans oil recommended in the owners manual. Used in racing and I feel it dumps the heat better. You still get some pretty smooth shifts and the 1st gear clunk goes away about the second oil change, or gets quieter!

I came across a quart of Redline V-Twin. The container did not say what it was but I imagine it's the light.. Anything that sticks to gears like bubble-gum and looks like Pepto Bismol.........just has to be good stuff! I just wish it smelled more like Pepto.

If It is
pink than its the heavy. Blue is the light weight.

OK...I just learned something today. I am new to the Redline family of lubricants and I assumed they were all Pepto-looking. This stuff was definitely the heavy then. Are you guys using a "generic" Redline product or the actual "V-Twin" that I used?

I would not doubt that a bit tbob. I will tell you how I came by it. I was at my local stealership one day spreading cheer and goodwill and noticed one of the guys had this bottle of Redline V-Twin in his stall. I asked him how long they had been using it and he said they had not been, but had so many good reports from people that were, he planned to try some in his personal bike. I paid him $12 for the only bottle they had in the place.

I need to find a local parts house that stocks the Redline products.

I bought a gallon online. That'll last for a while and it came right to my door.
