I had the trike jacked up so i could sit in my little chair and do most of the wrenching. you need the rear wheels off to make the belt adjustment but that is the last thing you need to do, no need to loosen the belt to remove pulley. you will need 2 special tools, the trans. sprocket locking tool and the mainshaft socket wrench. Best prices i have seen for them is at www.georges-garage.com somewhere around $170 for the pair, i really dont think you can get that big nut off without them. These guys made fun of me because i user a big pipe wrench on the mainshaft socket wrench(i know they were just kidding) . steady pressure with that big wrench is the easiest way to remove and replace that 2 1/4" nut.

Thanks for the info, my dealer don't inspire a lot of conficence in me either! Had to convince them I could use my OEM belt and they can't recalibrate the speedo or get my 6th gear light back.
This will be one of my winter projects, hoping this will get me where I want to be with the TRI but if not will go with the Woods W-6-6 Cams. I am really close with this thing right now, I feel the gear change alone will do it.
ive got the tw6-6 in the trike now and it works really good. i also picked up the tw555 and put it in my '07 96"softtail. it is a little more than i want for the softtail and am going to swap them around. The tw555 im sure will be much better in the trike.fuelmoto has just finished testing these two cams, take a look at their dyno sheets if you havent yet.

Looking on the Fuelmoto site, I don't see where they have these two cams listed. Can you provide any more info on where to find the dyno sheets for them? Thanks.
