Default Wanting a Hitch on my '10 TG

I just read my manual and it says not to tow a trailer.
I am wanting to get this trailer a coworker wants to get rid of and it looks perfect for my trike.
So if I get a hitch installed, would this void my warranty?
If not, where can I get one?

it won't void your warranty unless it is proven to be the cause of the problem with the trike. Manual for the touring two wheel bikes says the same thing, and you see thousands of trailer on the roads. it's more of a safety liability issue than a mechanical one. as far as hitches, use google and you will find a number of them. a good dealer is worth their weight in gold when it comes to warranty.

Won't void the warranty, but depending on the dealer or district rep you could get a flag placed on you record that will make warranty work a case by case basis. Which means pretty much all work will have to be aproved by the MoCo before it can be performed.

I thought it over and decided not to get it. If it won't fit in the trike then I may as well drive my car. Afterall, we are bikers that wear black to hide the dirt, right?
I may change my mind next season and get a hitch put on anyway. I can always get a cargo tray to hitch on to.
At least I have the info I think I will need. Thanks again for the feedback!

You could do a bolt on and yank the hitch when you take it in for warranty work. You want to resist all temptation to weld on that frame anyway. Work in the original holes in your mount plate and maybe a tech would not notice a couple extra one's in the frame.

black paint hides bolt wear also, just keep it neat and who is going to notice a few extra holes in the frame.

I have a MCHitch, bolts into the existing holes on bottom of trike, have the jumper plug that doesn't require any splicing of wires. I can remove it all within 30 minutes if needed.

If you have a HD Extended Service Plan installing a trailer hitch will viod the ESP.
As for the factory warranty, what others said.
