I checked the bottom posts with a jury rigged template I made and it looks like they may be correct(won't know for sure until the dealer gets a new template sent in). I think the problem is, after installing the posts, the instructions say to use the hole in the bag to mark the upper hole, expecting the installer to rotate the bag so it lines up with the fender. Unfortunately my installer put the bags on and just drilled the upper hole where the bag landed and not checking the alignment of the bags.

I think if the upper hole was about another 1" farther out it would have been OK.

Now the big battle is going to be getting the dealer to accept the blame and make restitution. He will probably only offer to plug the holes and re drill new ones.

He may have a point about the instructions not saying to rotate or align the bag with the fender so he has an excuse, but the MoCo doesn't because their directions are incomplete.

I had a year long battle with Harley on a problem on the tour pac on my 03 Ultra. I eventually won, but I had to threaten to cancel a $2000 work order that was in the shop.
It's not easy fighting city hall. LOL

To all those that have posted or e-mailed me pictures of your saddlebags that were installed by a dealer, could you send me the name of the dealer that installed them?

Sometimes it is easier to read the instructions and do it yourself.

I was really thinking of doing just that, but had no way to raise the trike and I was a little hesitant to drill into fiberglass. After seeing what the dealer did, I probably would have been better off.

Thanks, Barb
I hope it doesn't come to me having to say "These dealers did it right, why didn't you you"

It's going to be interesting to see where this problem ends.

We did mine ourselves. There were never any questions on how they should go on! DUH!

Does anyone know whether the mini-bags interfere with the passenger at alll? Linda thinks they'll bug her, but they look small enough to me that it shouldn't be a problem. Just curious if anyone rides two-up and has had any complaints from the passenger.

Regards,
