The flip side is this is also their way of helping perk up an under powered engine, gear it higher and it will feel more powerful. The sad thing is it will still be the same cooker we've all had to deal with, I'm disappointed in the MoCo but not surprised.

2011 09 - 10

1st 10.537 1st 9.878
2nd 7.303 2nd 6.847
3rd 5.425 3rd 5.086
4th 4.393 4th 4.118
5th 3.742 5th 3.508
6th 3.157 6th 2.96
Primary gear ratios the same as 2010 trike They must of changed the Belt Sprocket Ratios. As for the latch for the trunk looks like a single latch in the center of the trunk door and push button lock on the box. When the 2011 parts book is available. I will buy it and cross reference parts between the 2010 and 2011. As I did with the 2009 and 2010. I find the parts book as valuable as the service manual. If possible and cost effective I might go with the 2011 latch on my 2009 Tri Glide and my 2010 XXX. There seems to be some nice wheel options. Still want to know whats been done to the emissions and ecm for 2011. As the cat in the head pipe was a surprise to me on the 2010 Touring and Trike models. As far as the 2011 Colors go The Merlot/Black combo is classy. The Orange on the XXX is kinda nice also. As Jimmer The Blue and Black combo does look like a Police bike from back in the day. I think it's kinda nostagila looking. They the MC should of offered a two tone option on the Street Glide. As the XXX looks more like the old service car models. We'll see what reviews come in within the next few months.

Hmmm, yeah, can't imagine them changing that bucket-of-bolts six speed. I would really be interested in a cheap sprocket change. I would hope that wouldn't mean a belt change too?

I paid $380.00 to have both of my rear wheels chromed. The front was a $305.00 core charge exchange. Of course there was also tire mount & dismount charges, balancing and shipping but the total tab was a lot less than the $1,500 Harley wants. Nobody should be surprised at that!

I sent mine to California just like The Jimer. They charged $200 each plush shipping. Then add mounting and balancing. I think I had around $795 in them.

Just read a Thread The body, trunk door, fenders and side covers have been changed on the 2011. So cant change out the trunk latch for a 2011 without changing the body and trunk door. Also different muffler mounts will retro fit 09 and10 trikes.

Why should we be surprised or disappointed, as long as the public buys them as fast as the MoCo makes them, why would they spend money on ANY changes. Just MHO.

Your right, that is one reason I'm done buying. I've lost all faith in the MoCo, they just don't seem interested in customer satisfaction.

Is it my imagination or do the rear fenders of the 2011 TG appear to be wider (fatter)? If in fact they are wider, I wonder if this was done in-part to accommodate easier removal of the rear wheel?

The one thing you can be sure that hasn't changed is the response to any of the following: the rear cylinder is frying my butt and legs, the cat is frying everything else, the transmission sounds like a threshing machine, it's down on power, the seat is worthless; answer, THATS's NORMAL--next.

Default Take your lowers off

and that's normal. Hotshoe you could have been in contention for HD serviceman of the year if you had added take your lower's off.
