Default Tail Light Question?

This is for Tri-Glides. Will it cause any electrical problems if you change your tail light bulb sockets from 3167 to 1167 sockets? If it is possible to do this you could pull your reflecter caseing out of the rear red lense run the turn signal wireing through the buld hole and glue the red LED turn signal duel intensity face out to the hole that the 3167 bulb went in for your brake lights. Then put reflector houseing back in the brake light lense. With the stock brake light housing and the and stock reflectors the Red LEDs would greatly improve your rear visiability. Or You could change the bulb socket on the turn signal wireing 1167 to 3167 sockets if this would not cause any electrical problems and would be alot cheaper than the HD led break lights. Any thoughts or coments on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm a little confused. I thought the Tri-Glide tail lights were already dual-function? Or do you mean with the different socket the brake light would come on at the same time as the turn signal? I think presently the brake light is not lit with turn signal on (?)

I also posted this on the other site where you posed same question. It seems like a good idea to have dual-function anyway.

Default Brake light

The Red LED turn signals are also dual intensity. They would plug into the stock socket if the stock socket can be changed fron 3157 to a 1157.

You might want to contact this company to ask your question, they might have something or could possibly make a wiring adapter that would allow you to do what your asking for>>

Good suggestion! I have dealt with Ride Time on several occasions and found their products and customer service to be top notch!

Default tri glide tail light upgrade

I replaced my tail lights with lights from a company called bright *** lights. These are plug and play and have about 20 flash patterns plus 3 levels of brightness. When your setting the brake lights to one of the flash functions you have to wear sunglasses as they recomend. These things are that bright. These are not cheap but a great improvement over anything Ive ever seen.
