Default Trailer Hitch ... Tri Glide

I received from Bushtec their Tri Glide Trailer Hitch Friday, per instructions 4 bolts out ... 4 bolts (provided by Bushtec) in. Instruction did not include torque settings. These are frame to body bolts. Does anyone know the torque settings?

Also, took quick trip to AL and picked up used Bushtec Roadstar trailer. Anyone out here pulled a trailer with a Tri Glide?

thanks...John

What size are the bolts? Here is a web site that might help:

Just came home from a 9,3032 mile trip. Pulled a Kompact Kamp trailer. Also did a 6,375 trip last summer pulling the same trailer. The only problem I had was I got a flat tire on the trailer last trip and when I pulled in for gas in Iowa the guy next to me asked me if I knew I had a flat. I didn't know and the bike never even pulled or struggled. I did some crazy roads both years: 80 mile speed limits, low altitude, high altitude and roads closed due to snow, mud and rock slides. Mountain passes that were unbelievable. Never even knew the trailer was behind me. You will love it.

We're pulling an '03 Aluma behind our '16 TG. Can hardly tell it's there.

We're pulling a Mission3x4MT. It's kind of an Aluma clone. So far, we have pulled it over 30,000 miles, through all of the lower 48 states, with nary a complaint.

Just did pretty much the same thing you are doing.

Bushtech Hitch and wiring kit, by the way, the instructions are misleading for the plug locations, the plug you will need to find is under the flap between the passenger backrest and seat.

As for the torque, I used a spot of loctite red and 10 inch pounds, probably a little light on the torque but good and snug, the loctite should keep them that way.

"These are frame to body bolts"

The bolts hold the hitch to the frame and are not body bolts, they do not hold the body at all.
