For what it's worth, I will complain at my 1000 mile service.
Truthfully I've never looked to see what I had left in my tank when on E, I do know it is a quite a bit. I bet your going to get the story "they all do that" from the service dept. I have 2,800 miles on my 10 and just have gotten in the habit of using the trip odometer from when I had a Sporty I just don't notice.

Actually if you push your odometer button I believe 3 times an R will appear in the window with the mileage left before needing to refill. I have found this function to be extremely accurate.

Yea, I did notice the 'R' and after reading the manual, looks like it will be a valuable tool. I'm still going to mention the inaccuracy to the service dept. and bet I get the "they all do that" response.

Unfortunately that is their canned response. We are very fortunate in that Erie Hd works with us and will check things out.

My usual response to "they all do that" is "they all need to be fixed" Get a note off to HD and complain. Squeaky wheel etc.

Default File 13

Never had a HD gas gauge that was accurate, Tri is actually better, just bounces all over the place. Right on the money when it settles down!

Better than a stick I guess!
