The battery was new 3 weeks ago placed on a battery tender for 96 hours when installed all connections were cleaned with a brass wire brush and reinstalled with dielectric grease. Voltage reads 14.7 volts

Okay. Put it in neutral, then try rocking it back and forth with the ignition off to see if it will move. I had my reverse stick once and had to do that to free up what ever. If that does not work, remove the main 30 amp fuse and let it set for a few minutes then try starting again. Other than that I have nothing.

Was it acting up before the new battery? Even a new battery can go bad, may want to have it load tested for sanity sake. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Check the other end of the battery leads, especially the ground wires. If both the starter won't work now and reverse didn't work earlier, that could be it. Might have loosened up when you were working on the battery terminals.

Post New Tri glide issues!

Traded my 2020 Road King in as I could not handle the heavy weight since my recent Triple Bypass so I purchased a 2021 Tri glide new!
At 51 miles it developed a major coolant leak on the right side. My rear junk continued to pop open. Had to have Harley come and pickup to see why it's leaking! Very disappointed in the quality control. I've had 5 different Harleys since 1993 and never had issues. I'm 72 now and was hoping I could really enjoy riding!

On your trunk don't slam it shut, just firmly push it closed. And always give it a tug to be sure it latched. MY 15 trunk opened a couple times on me. Once I rode from Franklin NC to Johnson City TN with it open before a lady pulled up next to me on I26 pointing at it. I was amazed I didn't lose anything because I was on a trip and it was loaded. Since I started to double check the door I haven't had a issue.

Lock the trunk when riding and close it firmly like above. Never had mine open when it was locked.

Put a bungee around the support cables, If it does come open it will be held mostly closed so nothing will fall out. And yes, no slamming it shut, just a good push to latch.

Default engine light and blinking R

2016 Tri Glide. Won't spin the reverse motor. R blinks when button pushed. Yes, it's in neutral and motor running. Have used it many times. At the same time the "check engine" light has come on, stays on. I cycled the reverse circuit breaker off and back on a couple times. No problem there. Any ideas?
