I like that setup!! Is the stock cover pressed against the filter to help support it? I think it could flex and break if it just sits on the center bolt. Just concerned about the metal cover vibrating, or my leg pressing against it, and causing it to break.

That looks good, and it’s a sleeper too.

me as well , final details tomorrow and this evening… gonna stop around Charleston WV Sunday night or further depending on how well the ride goes. I will check the catch can there. 400 ish miles at interstate pace should be a good telltale.

Yes, DK gave me the same suggestion. Helps a tad.

The piece of rag soaks up condensation then drys or the canister fills with water.
Ask me how I know.

ASA,

OK enlighten us all. Sounds like you’ve had experience with that.

Mike, I can see how that would be the case. Without the cloth, the oily mess gets sprayed into the can in bursts, particularly when you apply lots of throttle and then release, and can then as a result spray OUT of the can as well. The cloth acts like a filter and temporary "storage media". The sprayed mess gets caught in it, and dries out as you put on the miles in the wind, and even when just sitting parked. No?
