Personally, I think that white lettering or red striping detracts from the trike's styling. Might look great on some cars, but trikes no.

Red striping and white lettering went out with the 70's & 80's.........................

No, I didn't. Size nor load rating is not what makes something a "car" tire. We have all kinds of other smaller vehicles and 3 wheelers today like the can-ams and sling-shots. Neither use "motorcycle" tires. They are tires with a flat profile, that are not meant to lean... With various load ratings for a given application. For all practical matters, anything besides 2 wheel motorcycle tires are all vehicle tires.

Based on this Doc Harley video:


It sounds like if you want to go lower on rear trike tire pressure than the HD recommendation of 26 psi, you can do so, and still keep your TPMS low psi warning light function, if you reduce the psi by less than 3 psi. So, at least in theory, you might be able to run "23.X" psi (anything less than a 3 psi reduction) and still keep your low psi warning system working.
