Look at post #17. That's what I have I wish I knew when I bought the SE air cleaner that it wouldn't be what I needed in an air cleaner.

I don't see anything wrong with that filter. It's out in the open air and probably as good as any of them. Most air cleaners can be modified if you want to route the head breathers to the ground.

Yes that is the same filter as on the LowriderS(T) and the 117 CVO's, apparently good for over 130hp, since you have it already you could by-pass the breather hoses to a catch can or go with a Trask Tranny cover with a breather which i have and i don't get the excess oil in my A/C now

Yes, probably going with a catch can for the time being.

NZ Lowrider,

By any chance do you have any pics of the Tranny cover with breather?

Thanks MikeRG3

With a smart tune and adjusting my lower vents to point toward the heads. I was able to get engine temp down considerably. The highest engine temp I recorded was 176 deg. My riding conditions were about the same as the one where I saw aa 301 deg engine temp.

The pic is somewhat hard to see since the bike is back in the garage. But both lower vents are now aimed at the front cylinder.

What I did today was build a DYI EBS. I'll still need a catch can or most likely a filter. For the time being I routed the hose to just below the bottom of the frame and zip tied it there.
One hose is visible and I could have routed it to the inside of where it is but I was afraid it would be too close to the heads. I flushed out the old vets with carb cleaner and sealed with red RTV.

Once the breather is back on, only one hose is visible and you have to stoop down to see it as in the picture.

I'll do another smart tune once I have time but for now I need the RTV to set up and tomorrow is going to be a busy day. I have to help a buddy go get an older Goldwing trike that's been sitting up for several years. It was gotta a give me.

Any idea what a SS tuner costs? What about a Cam kit with rods, springs, and lifters for a M8 114 CI.

No idea what a "SS Tuner" is, but here is a great place to look for the cam kits, and Power Vision Tuners https://www.fuelmotousa.com/c-120558...camshafts.html

Thanks for the link. I’ll probably run stage 1 until warranty gets closer to ending then get a better cam.
