Thinking of going with a stage 2 screaming eagle upgrade

For more input. take a look at the DK Custom videos.
I have an '18 with a Stage I kit and I'm happy with it but if I lived in a hilly region of the country, rode two-up a lot and/or towed a trailer I might consider a "torquer" cam but 'till then I'll leave mine as it is.
Depending on how I ride the worst MPG's that I ever got once was about 25 and the best was about 37.
For my riding style, I'm more concerned with range of a tank of fuel than I am with how fast I can get somewhere, but "to each their own"

Another thing to consider is as you add more power. Are you going to really be able to use it. If the Trikes setup is not up to the task you need to be ready to spend some more to improve it.

I did the same Stage II, but removed the Cat 2 years ago. I appreciate the improvement in pulling power.
My fuel mileage increased after the cam; I easily see how it could go down with the new and improved throttle response. But, about 6k miles later, I believe the decrease in mpg is in the left wrist.

I took the bike in this morning. They had started on it before I left. Other than the screaming eagle intake, SE tuner, Tab performance sticks with zombie baffles, 447 SE cam, the heavy duty cam bearing, I had them install a decatted Harley head pipe that they had in stock.
They didn't give me any flack over the decatted head pipe and said they would defiantly warranty the bike.
That decatted pipe will surly help my wife's right leg out and mine too.
Oh, I made a typo in my first post. I still have a year and 8 months warranty left.

My 2023 Triglide is still under factory warranty for 8 more months so I'm thinking of going with a Screaming Eagle stage 2. I'm thinking the 447 torque cam and Tab BAM sticks. After the warranty expires, I'll delete the cat and maybe go with a different programmer.
Any thoughts?

Regarding MPG. With a properly done Stage II, you will get better MPG than you got OEM. Video on that subject below also.

Always get a good foundation in place before building a Stage II, III or IV. Video on this subject below.

First of all, thanks for responding and I enjoyed your videos. I'v wacthed a number of your videos in the past and have gained knowledge from them.
I believe I'm starting with a pretty good foundation when it comes to intake and exhaust with the Tab pipes and much larger air cleaner. The SE pro street tuner and 447 cam probably aren't my best options for a stage 2 setup but, I still have 20 months of factory warranty that I wish to retain, or at least most of it. I may drop the SE pro street tuner and do another cam change after the warranty has expired if I'm not happy with the results.
Th SE intake I'm using is one of the better air intakes "I believe".

The Trike runs super smooth, pulls effortlessly in any gear, is clearly a substantial improvement in power and performance. Stage 1, 2, 3, 4 ?? .... I have been riding HD for the past 30 years. I have also had several high performance bikes prior to my growing into HD. IMHO, if your goal is to go really fast you should take a closer look at Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Ducati etc.
If your goal is to increase power and throttle response, cool down your engine temp and thoroughly enjoy the improvement that these few modifications will absolutely make ... then let it breath and enjoy the ride!!
