I've had several people ask questions about fender/wheel fitment on this conversion. The Tri-Glide trunk will fit on the RG3/ Freewheeler (RG3). If you use the Tri-Glide fenders you can stop here… the following does not concern you.

If you plan to use your RG3/Freewheeler fenders then you will either need to get new wheels with the corrected offset (expensive), or add the following spacer on each side. The RG3 fender projects 1.5” wider than the Tri-glide (since the body of the RG3 is 3” narrower than the Tri-Glide), therefore the wheel needs to be pushed out 1.5”.

The RG3 oem wheel studs require 1/2x20 lug nuts (what comes on your bike).

You will need to purchase eight (8) short 1/2x20 lug nuts 3/4” long to fasten

the spacer to RG3 wheel studs.

The spacer studs require 12mm x 1.5 lug nuts to fasten the wheel onto the spacer

(lug nuts happen to be the same size as my 2014 Corvette Stingray which I replaced

the chrome with black nuts. So I used the orig. chrome Corvette lug nuts on my RG3)

You will need to purchase eight 12mm x 1.5 lug nuts about 1.38” long to fasten the wheel to the spacer.

Remember to torque all lug nuts to 90-100 ft-lbs.

Added screen in front of oil cooler radiator. For about $3.50 can't beat it.

Great job, looks really cool.
