After 3+ years of ownership, the passenger intercom on my 2020 Tri Glide is not working. Music comes through the headset and the rider can hear the passenger talk, but the passenger cannot hear the rider. The headset icon has a red bar through it indicating that headset is not enabled but both are plugged in properly. In addition, the passenger intercom volume is stuck at Off, and I cannot get access to it to change. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? The headsets and cables were checked for operation and both are good.
Is it a case that this never worked or did it just stop working?
In first situation, enable passenger intercom
In second situation, check the volume on passenger settings and look for pinched/loose wiring to passenger plug-in.
On my last three bikes I have NEVER used the intercom
BUT.....by the fact that you have a "slash" through the headset indicator (I've done it myself) It may be that you need to go into your "set-up" mode on your infotainment center and change your setting.
It always worked and just stopped. Yes, the settings are correct but I will review again.
As I have never used mine so this may be a dumb question but does both helmets have to be plugged into the jacks in order for the intercom to work properly?
